Ritu Rai was born on 17 April 1995 in Mumbai, Maharashtra — raised in the city that made Indian cinema. Long before the cameras rolled, she was performing in school and college events, sharpening an instinct for storytelling that would become her greatest asset.
After completing her graduation, she entered the entertainment industry through modelling, building presence and craft before making her bold on-screen debut with Sauteli on Hunters in 2023. The response was immediate and overwhelming. Within months she had become one of the most sought-after names in India's OTT space.
In just two years she accumulated over 40 web series credits across Ullu, Hunters, Prime Play, Besharams, WOW Gold, Hit Prime, and more. Her most acclaimed work includes Damad Ji (IMDb 8.1), the psychological thriller Devika, ensemble hit Kaanta Laga, and the 2025 lead in House Arrest — her most ambitious 9-episode performance to date.
